D-Link works with its suppliers to comply with the European Union Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment. The RoHS directive prohibits the importation of electronic equipment containing certain hazardous substances in the European Union and took effect from July 1, 2006. D-Link fully complied with the RoHS Directive even before this date.

D-Link stands over 20 years as a global leader in connectivity for home, small, medium and large enterprise business networking. We develop solutions-oriented products that improve people's lives. The safety and integrity of our products is key to our relationships with our customers. Certain chemicals and substances become labeled as "Hazardous Materials" due to government, industry and consumer concerns. The European Union has specifically identified the following substances used in some electronic products as being hazardous materials: hexavalent chromium (Cr+6), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), polybrominated diphenylethers (PBDE) and polybrominated biphenyls (PBB). When those issues are raised and materials are identified, D-Link is the first to acknowledge those bans and guarantee the safety of our products for the end user.
